Eduardo J. Padron is president of Miami Dade College, the largest institution of higher education in America. Credited with raising the school’s profile as one of the best colleges and universities in the U.S., he was named one of the eight most influential college presidents in the country by the Washington Post in 2011, and received Carnegie Corporation’s Centennial Academic Leadership Award. Padron has been tapped by six U.S. Presidents to serve on national posts, most recently by President Obama to chair of the White House Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans.
