Among his many achievements, physicist Tsung-Dao Lee attracted praise for his work studying elementary particles, solving several long-standing scientific problems. He became the youngest full professor in Columbia University’s history at age 29, and was the second-youngest scientist to win the Nobel Prize, at age 31. He has also held directorships at institutions including the China Center of Advanced Science and Technology, and the RIKEN-BNL Research Center. Updated 2010
