Antonio Neri
President and CEO, Hewlett Packard Enterprise
Born in Argentina
Antonio Neri was born in Argentina to Sicilian parents. A curious student, he developed an early passion for electronics and technology. In middle school, Neri worked in the mornings repairing radar and sonar systems from Argentinian ships at the Navy base 30 miles from his home, and by afternoon would walk two miles to school, not returning home until late evening. He ultimately earned an engineering degree from Escuela Técnica Industrial and studied at the National Technological University.
After joining Hewlett-Packard (HP) in Amsterdam in 1995 as a call center representative, he steadily advanced through the organization, relocating to the United States in 1997 to serve as global director of HP’s imaging and printing services business. Today, Neri is president and chief executive officer of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), one of the world’s leading enterprise technology companies, where he has spearheaded key technologies and accelerated innovation, including through targeted acquisitions.
“As a CEO,” he told CEO North America magazine, “you think about not just the business aspect but also how you give back to the community and how you make sure that technology is used the right way.”
Neri has prioritized culture and employee engagement, helping HPE earn placement on lists including Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For and People’s Companies That Care. In 2024, he received the Ripple of Hope Award from the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center for his commitment to social change. His other honors include the JEDEC Distinguished Executive Leadership Award and the University of Houston President’s Medallion.
