Royce Yudkoff is the MBA Class of 1975 Professor of Management Practice of Entrepreneurial Management at Harvard Business School. He is a cofounder of Abry Partners, a private equity firm that invests in middle-market companies in the communications, media, information, and business service industries.
Yudkoff’s publications include the HBR Guide to Buying a Small Business: Think Big, Buy Small, Own Your Own Company, published by Harvard Business Review Press in 2017. His numerous case studies on acquiring and operating smaller firms are widely taught at business schools.
Since its establishment in 1989, Abry Partners has completed over $90 billion in transactions. Yudkoff served as managing partner of the firm from 1989 until 2011, when he joined Harvard Business School. He has been a director of numerous private and public companies.
Before forming Abry, Yudkoff was a partner at Bain & Company, an international management consulting firm, where he shared responsibility for Bain’s media practice.
Yudkoff earned his MBA as a Baker Scholar at Harvard Business School and his BA, cum laude, at Dartmouth College.
