Program Analyst, International Program

Hiba Said is a program analyst in the International Program, supporting Africa-focused grantmaking and strategic partnerships across higher education, research, leadership development, peacebuilding, and civic engagement.

She contributes to program strategy and key aspects of portfolio management, including due diligence, drafting grant recommendations, monitoring grant performance, and generating data-driven insights to inform decision-making. She plays a central role in stakeholder engagement and helps manage internal processes that ensure the efficient administration of grants.

Previously, Said worked at the Social Science Research Council, where she supported the implementation of programs advancing African scholarship on peacebuilding and development. Her responsibilities included organizing research convenings; coordinating scholar engagement across countries; managing communications and program operations; and data tracking to support grant reporting and strategic planning.

She was selected as a fellow with Dream VC, a venture capital institute focused on early-stage investing, innovation, and entrepreneurship across African markets. She also completed a fellowship in impact investing with the African Venture Philanthropy Alliance on blended finance approaches to support social enterprises and strengthen sustainable development outcomes.

Said serves on the governing board of the International Council for Refugees and Immigrants, advising on programs that support immigrant and displaced populations.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, where she studied justice and peace studies and African studies.
