Program Assistant, International Program

Chimdalu (Chimmy) Chidoka is a program assistant in the International Program. She reports to Omotade Akin Aina and supports the development and implementation of the program’s peace and security grantmaking.

Before joining the Andrew Carnegie Foundation, Chidoka served as a communications and grants assistant at Michigan State University’s Asia Hub, supporting grant administration and coordinating partner communications. She also researched sustainable community development with local schools and community stakeholders in Tanzania.

Chidoka is the founder of Nkiruka Nurturing and Empowering Initiative, a nonprofit organization that expands educational and digital literacy opportunities for young women in Nigeria.

Chidoka holds a BA in comparative cultures and politics and in political theory and constitutional democracy from Michigan State University’s James Madison College. She speaks French and Igbo.
