Dea Omerović is a program assistant in the International Program. She assists with the development and implementation of the program’s grantmaking focused on peace and security issues.
Before Carnegie, Omerović worked as a United Nations Fellow at the Center for Civilians in Conflict, researching trends in threats to civilian protection. Omerović also has experience supporting conflict prevention and humanitarian policy at International Crisis Group and Center for Strategic and International Studies.
Omerović holds a BA in international and public affairs from Brown University, with a focus on conflict and security. At Brown, Omerović was involved in research at the Watson Institute on civil-military coordination, electoral violence, and risk management in humanitarian operations. Omerović speaks Dutch, Bosnian, and Italian.
