Description
Across the United States, 4.3 million opportunity youth, or young people ages 16 to 24 who are out of school and work, remain disconnected from the systems that build the skills, knowledge, and sense of purpose essential for productive livelihoods and civic leadership. YouthBuild Global (YBG) addresses this gap by integrating academic instruction, vocational training, and community service to prepare participants for careers in various in-demand fields. They support a network of more than 350 local programs around the world, embedding service-learning, community projects, and leadership development directly into education and workforce activities. With support from Carnegie, YBG would strengthen civic programming across more than 115 of these programs in the U.S, delivering training and technicalassistanceto more than 150 staff members and enabling an estimated 2,500 young people to complete service, job training, and leadership activities.Key deliverables includestafftraining sessions, andprogram implementation supportfor 20 to 25 local service projects.
