Description

The ONE Campaign, a nonprofit advocacy and research organization, shapes policy on economic opportunity in Africa through rigorous analysis and engagement. This proposed project seeks to generate applied policy research on the economic drivers of migration from Africa and engage U.S. and Canadian decision-makers on practical economic reform pathways. With Carnegie support, ONE will analyze existing evidence, partner with African research institutions to conduct field research in three focus countries, produce a flagship report and supporting policy briefs, and lead decision-maker site visits and a targeted policy engagement campaign. The grant will deliver decision-ready recommendations that inform trade and investment strategies to expand economic opportunity and reduce economic pressures driving migration.
