Description
Sustained, nonpartisan voter engagement is essential to a healthy democracy. Established in 2004 with Corporation support, State Voices is a national network of twenty-three permanent, nonpartisan, state-based coalitions. Its role is to connect nonprofits that are working on a diverse range of issues to nonpartisan voter engagement strategies. State Voices oversees and enables more than 1,000 state, local, and national affiliate organizations in all fifty states to collaborate on campaigns, strengthen each other’s policy impacts, and increase civic engagement overall. State Voices also supplies organizations with the tools and training to further enhance their campaigns. With renewed Corporation support, State Voices will continue to grow its network and support shared efforts to increase nonpartisan civic and voter engagement.

Established in 2004 with Corporation support, State Voices is a national organization that connects national, state, and local organizations working on a diverse range of issues and helps them engage in shared civic engagement campaigns. State Voices oversees a network of more than 900 state, local, and national affiliate organizations that collaborate on a range of issues, strengthen each other’s impact on individual policy areas, and increase civic engagement overall. With renewed Corporation support, State Voices will continue to grow its network and support shared efforts to increase civic and voter engagement.

And while recent social movements have galvanized entire populations around important social and political issues, voting continues to be the most critical method of influencing policy and institutionalizing change. Established in 2004, State Voices is a national network that helps grassroots organizations engage in shared policy and civic engagement campaigns. By providing access to sophisticated voter engagement tools and capacity building opportunities, State Voices brings together groups involved in a wide range of issues, from immigration and the environment to health care and economic development, among others, to strengthen their impact on individual policy areas and civic engagement overall. With renewed Corporation support, State Voices will continue to grow and strengthen its network, as well as support partners’ efforts to increase civic and voter engagement in advance of the 2018 elections.
