Guggenheim Foundation is guided by its mission to promote the understanding and appreciation of visual culture andto collect, conserve, and study the art of our time.Rooted in the Guggenheim’s founding history of convening interdisciplinary cross-sections of artists and luminaries, its educational programming hosts world-class forums,including the signature Late Shift public programming series for young adults.Late Shift unites the prominent design-minded, solution-oriented thinkers of today with inspired architecture/design students and members of the public. With Corporation support, the Guggenheim will continue to ignite conversations surrounding cultural heritage preservation and sustainability in partnership with artistsand creative visionaries within our community.

Description
Established in 1937, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation works to promote appreciation of art, architecture, and other forms of visual culture. This is completed in part through its collection, conservation, and study of art of the past and present day. It leads the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, the Guggenheim Bilbao, the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi (in development), and the flagship Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York. With Corporation support, the foundation will launch a public series of quarterly salons that bring together leaders in architecture, design, and visual art to reimagine approaches to sustainability and cultural heritage preservation for the future of the planet. It will also partner with local schools of architecture and design to offer unique student programs and to foster a network of young scholars who can exchange ideas.

With Corporation support, the Guggenheim Museum will, in a post-pandemic environment, serve its audiences with groundbreaking exhibitions, informative programming, a suite of engaging online resources, and access to the landmark Frank Lloyd Wright designed building. Moreover, they will continue to present projects that explore, reflect on, and tell the stories for a more just, inclusive, and sustainable society, including questions of racial justice, gender equality, socio-economic disparity, and the evolution of the American landscape.

Description
Founded in 1937, The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is dedicated to promoting the understanding and appreciation of art through exhibitions, education programs, and publications. In February 2020, Guggenheim will present Countryside, a major exhibition presented in collaboration with architect and urbanist Rem Koolhaas, highlighting key findings that address the radical changes occurring in non-urban areas around the world through an eclectic mixture of engaging mediums. With Corporation support, the exhibition will include educational content and programming in the form of a two-day symposium and will support youth and family educational programming designed to illuminate works and themes presented in the exhibition.
