Description

Founded in 2000, Refugee Council USA (RCUSA) has served as the only national coalition serving forcibly displaced people in the United States. It is a coalition of nonprofit organizations that advocate for and serve a wide range of forcibly displaced populations, including refugees, asylum seekers, unaccompanied children, torture victims, among others. Its mission is to mobilize expertise and influence to protect the rights of forcibly displaced people to have agency, access to safety, and opportunities to thrive through its member organizations. Given steep reductions in funding for refugee resettlement in the United States, and with Corporation support, RCUSA will build connections among national, state, and local refugee advocates, engage new voices in support of refugee resettlement across the country, and engage the larger public in refugee advocacy.
