Mormon Women for Ethical Government (MWEG) was founded in January 2017 by a small group of Latter-day Saint women who were concerned about the divisive politics of the 2016 United States election cycle. The nonpartisan organization empowers women of faith to advocate for ethical governance, protect democratic institutions, and promote bipartisan solutions. Through its Principled Citizen program, MWEG will equip women with issue-based educational materials, media literacy, and advocacy education and training to be more active and engaged citizens beyond elections.
