Description
Traditional military and diplomatic responses to non-state armed groups often fail to break cycles of violence, creating an urgent need for politically grounded strategies that address the resulting humanitarian fallout and mass displacement. Inter Mediate will meet this need through Track 1.5 engagement and high-level advising, using this grant to support discreet strategy sessions on refugee policy and governance reform. The project will also formalize Inter Mediate’s internal research and learning function, converting frontline insights into actionable policy guidance for conflict parties and for national and multilateral decision-makers.

Description
Nuclear dangers are increasingly entangled across four flashpoint dyads beyond the traditional U.S.-Russia dynamic: U.S.-China, India-Pakistan, India-China, and U.S.-DPRK. Official crisis channels in these four dyads are often unreliable at best and potentially silent when needed the most. This project from Inter Mediate will build on 15 years of quiet facilitation to strengthen crisis dialogues and backchannels across these dyads, leveraging unique access in key nuclear-armed capitals. The initiative seeks to reduce misperceptions, clarify red lines, and lay the groundwork for future and novel nuclear arms control.

Description
Inter Mediate is a nongovernmental organization working on international crisis mediations around the world. Its key objective is to offer high-level peace advice and process support to leaders of ongoing conflicts and escalating crises. With Corporation support, it will expand and intensify its crisis response activities through engagements with respective stakeholders and search for effective solutions. The grant will also enable Inter Mediate to document the legacy of peacemaking lessons for leaders around the world.
