Founded in 1995, Idealist is one of the largest digital platforms supporting social impact and community engagement, connecting more than 100,000 individuals each day with 230,000 nonprofit organizations worldwide through job listings, internships, and volunteer opportunities. By merging with VolunteerMatch, Idealist is expanding its reach even further as a leading hub for social impact. It has integrated hundreds of thousands of volunteer opportunities, 70,000 organizations, and 700 educational resources into a unified national platform. With Carnegie support, Idealist will strengthen the digital infrastructure that supports volunteerism and community service to bridge the gap between talent and mission-driven organizations.
