Description
In partnership with Viacom, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation founded Get Schooled in 2010 to help young people thrive in high school, college, and early career jobs through a unique blend of digital content and personalized guidance. Previous Corporation support helped Get Schooled further develop and deploy their best-in-class digital programming to help youth access resonant, research-based resources to reach their education and career goals. Across their three journeys (college access, college persistence and first jobs) Get Schooled employs several key digital strategies to aid youth success: exceptional content shared across multiple platforms, 1:1 guidance, and engaging campaigns and contests. Continued Corporation support will allow Get Schooled to encourage tens of thousands of additional students from low-income families to seek and secure a postsecondary degree, as well as to find success in their first jobs.

Description
First-generation, low-income, and underrepresented students too often lack access to the resources, information, and networks necessary for postsecondary success. COVID-19 has exasperated these needs increasing the demand for college and career guidance while traditional helping institutions – schools, community-based organizations, libraries, colleges – have physically closed, cut services, or been unable to pivot to a digital experience. In partnership with Viacom, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation founded Get Schooled in 2010 to help young people thrive in high school, college, and early career jobs through a unique blend of digital content and personalized guidance. Continued Corporation support will allow Get Schooled to encourage tens of thousands of additional students from low-income families to seek and secure a postsecondary degree, as well as to find success in their first jobs.

Description
First-generation, low-income, and underrepresented students too often lack the resources, information, and networks necessary for their educational success. Given their lack of access to adequate college counseling, limited networks, and the ambiguity surrounding the relationship between college attendance and future career success, many of these intrinsically capable youth either do not attend college, or do not persist beyond their first semester. In partnership with Viacom, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation founded Get Schooled in 2010 to help young people thrive in high school, college, and early career jobs through a unique blend of compelling digital content and personalized guidance. With Corporation support, Get Schooled will provide compelling educational content and one to one support through three journeys: to college, persisting in the first year of college, and finding success in first jobs.
