Duration

Description
A future that works for everyone requires us to focus on what that future might look like and harness our collective energy and knowledge to provide our students a more purposeful education-one that prepares them for postsecondary success. This requires facilitated conversations between all stakeholders in regional ecosystems so that there is cohesion and a clear path forward for how to collectively prepare students for the future of work. eduInnovation, in partnership with Getting Smart, uses advocacy and communications campaigns to advance innovations in education so that every young person has the best chance at unleashing their potential. They aim to bring together stakeholders across regional ecosystems comprised to have conversations about what communities want to see in their future graduates, focusing on the future of work and what it means for education systems. This grant provides support for regional convenings, graduate profile workshops, and multimedia content development designed to provide resources and spark conversations that lay the foundation for educators and students to redesign learning experiences.

Duration

Description
While technology is often seen as the dominant enabler of personalized learning, a tech-centric focus overlooks other promising strategies that can also provide student with the tools and skills they need to collaborate, think critically and solve complex challenges. Place-Based Education (PBE) connects students to locally, regionally, and globally relevant experiences, unconstrained by access to technology, that build student skills through personalized learning and help build the foundation for democratic and sustainable communities. eduInnovation and its publishing partner Getting Smart aim to spread awareness of PBE as an entry point into personalized learning and to inspire wider implementation of PBE through a content and communications campaign. This grant will support a blog series, podcasts, infographics, and actionable guides for implementing PBE for student learning and educator professional learning.
