Project Title

For a video series on nuclear risk, nuclear misinformation, and the consequences of nuclear weapons

Date

Jun. 04, 2026

Duration

24 months

Description

Public understanding of nuclear dangers remains low and vulnerable to misinformation, especially as nuclear risks continue to increase. Traditional education and media often fail to reach younger audiences who increasingly turn to digital platforms for news and information. To fill this gap, the popular YouTube-based Complexly will produce a series of educational videos designed as accessible civic education for younger audiences through its SciShow channel, examining nuclear risk, nuclear misinformation, and the real-world consequences of current nuclear policies. The series will include longer “Deep Dive” videos, shorter “Infusion” videos, and supplemental educational resources for educators. By combining expert-informed content with widely accessible formats, the project will expand access to accurate, engaging information on nuclear security issues across both digital and traditional classroom settings.
