Description
Since 1979, C-SPAN has been a leading source of nonpartisan, unfiltered access to the workings of American democracy. As the 2026 midterms approach, many House, Senate, and gubernatorial races will receive little to no on-the-ground coverage due to the continued decline of local newsrooms, leaving voters increasingly reliant on paid advertising and partisan media. Corporation support will help launch C-SPAN’s Campaign 2026 initiative, which will address this gap by engaging theirmultimedia reporters in key regions and partnering with local nonprofit newsrooms to provide and distribute free, primary-source campaign reporting.
