RightCount was founded during the 2024 election cycle with a dual mission of strengthening confidence in election integrity and building infrastructure to respond to efforts that could undermine the accurate and lawful certification of presidential election results. Drawing on leaders with deep expertise and bipartisan credibility across several states, the organization established itself as an advocacy group focused on engaging key constituencies, particularly voters who were not firmly aligned with election denial claims, with the aim of increasing confidence in and acceptance of election outcomes. With Carnegie support, RightCount will grow its cadre of civic leaders who will communicate publicly on election trust issues and grow its news channel to cover election administration, policy, and certification issues.
