Project Title
For a project on inclusive economic integration for migrant and displaced African youth: learning from East and West Africa
Date
Jun. 04, 2026
Duration
36 months
Description
The African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP), a pan-African research and policy institute founded in 2010, generates and translates evidence to support African governments in decision-making. In partnership with the African Migration and Development Policy Centre (AMADPOC), this project seeks to generate evidence on economic integration pathways for migrant and displaced youth in Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, and Sierra Leone. With Carnegie support, AFIDEP and AMADPOC will co-design research priorities with in-country stakeholders, conduct multi-country youth surveys, assess policy implementation barriers, examine employment digital platforms and private sector employment models, and facilitate cross-country peer learning through policy dialogues and a regional convening.
