In 2015, Carnegie Corporation of New York established the Andrew Carnegie Fellows Program to provide support to outstanding individuals and researchers whose work in the social sciences and humanities offered fresh perspectives on urgent, contemporary issues. The fellowship was a continuation of the Corporation’s 100-year history of support for a host of institutions, causes, organizations, and individual scholars whose work helped promote the advancement and diffusion of knowledge and understanding.
