As the foundation’s controller, Junia B. Perez is responsible for the accounting and reporting activities of the foundation’s investment portfolio, and for ensuring that the foundation complies with generally accepted accounting principles and standards. Perez also supports the chief financial officer in overseeing the day-to-day activities of the finance department, internal and external financial accounting and reporting, and compliance matters.
Prior to joining the foundation, Perez was an audit director at McGladrey LLP, where she was responsible for financial and compliance audits of nonprofit organizations. She had also worked at Watson Rice LLP and the Philippine Commission on Audit.
Perez earned her BS in business administration, majoring in accounting, from Mindanao State University in the Philippines, and is a certified public accountant in the state of New York.
