Description
The Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland was founded by Andrew Carnegie in 1901 to support access to higher education and the development of research in the Scottish universities. As part of their 125th anniversary activities they are launching a study to measure the impact of the Trust’s funding on Scottish higher education, university curriculum and research priorities, and research careers and trajectories. With Corporation support this research will measure the geographic spread of beneficiaries across Scotland and the impact of increased access to higher education has had on local communities. This project offers theprospect of understanding the direction and priorities of the Trust over time and its place in Scottish society generally.
