Born in 1968 in Busan, South Korea, actor Daniel Dae Kim began his career on stage in New York, performing classic plays, as well as in a comedy troupe. After earning a master's degree from New York University's acting program, he began to appear in films such as Crash and The Hulk, successfully transcending the stereotypical roles often given to Asian-American actors. He is best known for his breakthrough role in the television series Lost and his current role in the new Hawaii Five-0. Updated 2014
