Evie Schumann

Evie Schumann is a program assistant in the International Peace and Security program, reporting to Patricia Moore Nicholas. Prior to joining the Corporation, Schumann served two years as a policy fellow at the U.S. Agency for International Development in Washington, D.C., where she provided compliance and policy support to family planning and global health programs worldwide.

A 2020 graduate of Yale University, Schumann majored in global affairs and completed a capstone project researching the intersection of gender and violent extremism in the Sahel. During her undergraduate years, she studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science; interned in the Economic and Social Affairs Section of the U.S. Mission to the United Nations; worked at Yale as a communication and consent educator to foster a more positive social climate on campus; and supported the city of New Haven during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
