As the situation in Ukraine becomes more volatile, the relationship between Russia and the United States/the European Union continues to deteriorate. The actions and the rhetoric of all involved are progressing along a dangerous path with potential negative ramifications for global peace and security. In a situation where developments in Ukraine are fast unfolding, factual information is hard obtain, and domestic pressures in the concerned countries are increasing, it is imperative not to make rush judgments. In the opinion of many observers, this critical and growing Euro-Atlantic conflict can only be resolved through policies that meet the interests of Ukraine as well as the concerns of the other key stakeholders.
