What are the reporting requirements for grants?

How do I submit reporting requirements?

Reporting requirements should be accessed and submitted via our grants portal.

Can my organization apply through a fiscal sponsor?

Organizations can apply through a fiscal sponsor when necessary. The sponsor must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has a formal relationship with the organization working on the project. Please note that the fiscal sponsor is considered the grantee and is responsible for the proper expenditure of the funds and all reporting requirements.

What is your indirect cost rate?

The corporation's policy for indirect costs is capped at up to 15% for universities, think tanks, and government entities.

When and how can I request an extension, a carry-over, or grant transfer?

Grant amendment requests should be submitted via the grantee portal. Please email your primary program contact and grantsinfo@carnegie.org, including your Grant ID number, if you need technical assistance.

Are there any guidelines for proper attribution when submitting a proposal?

Carnegie Corporation of New York does not tolerate plagiarism. When submitting a proposal, grantees and applicants shall acknowledge the use of others' work, even if paraphrased. Plagiarism within a submitted proposal is grounds for disqualification.
