Samuel Der-Yeghiayan is the United States District Court Judge for the Northern District of Illinois. President Bush appointed him to the position in 2003. He previously served as a judge in the Executive Office for Immigration Review, and attorney in the Immigration and Naturalization Service, receiving the INS District Counsel of the Year award in 1998. He holds a degree from the Franklin Pierce Law Center. Updated 2009
