Federal judge Rosemary Barkett was born in Ciudad Victoria, Mexico in 1939 and is currently a member of the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal in The Hague. She served on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit from 1994 to 2013, and was justice and chief justice on the Florida Supreme Court from 1985 to 1994. Barkett was the first female chief justice in that state's history. In addition to her duties at The Hague, she serves on the Judicial Outreach Program Advisory Board at the International Women's Forum and the American Society of International Law. Updated 2014
