Patrick Ewing, born in 1962 in Kingston, Jamaica, is considered one of the greatest centers in NBA history. After leading the Georgetown University team to an NCAA championship he went on to play for the New York Knicks for 15 years. He was named an All-Star 11 times, played for the original Dream Team in the 1992 Olympic Games, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2008. Since 2003 he has worked as an assistant coach and is currently associate head coach for the Charlotte Hornets. Updated 2009
