Born in Israel, Neri Oxman is a designer and architect whose work spans several disciplines, using digital technology and 3D printers to transform natural environmental shapes and concepts into the construction of objects, buildings, and systems. Currently the Sony Corporation's career development professor and an associate professor of media arts and sciences at the MIT Media Lab, she founded the Mediated Matter design research group. Her work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art. Icon named her one of the 20 most influential architects to shape our future and Oxman won the 2014 Vilcek Prize in Design. Updated 2014
