Michael Lopez-Alegria served in the U.S. Navy and NASA for more than three decades, in roles such as naval aviator, Navy engineering test pilot and program manager, NASA astronaut, ISS commander, and assistant director of flight crew operations. He holds the record for the NASA's longest spaceflight: 215 days. Currently, Lopez-Alegria is president of the Commercial Spaceflight Federation, an association that is working toward the goal of commercial spaceflight. Updated 2012
