Masi Oka

Born in 1974 in Tokyo, actor Masi Oka began his film career as a software developer at the special effects studio Industrial Light & Magic. Pursuing acting on the side, he appeared in small roles in film and television before breaking out with his role in NBC's hit series Heroes. He was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award in 2007. Currently Oka appears in a recurring role in the television series Hawaii Five-0. Updated 2014
