Margaret Carrel

Margaret Carrel, a health geographer, is an associate professor of geographical and sustainability studies and epidemiology at the University of Iowa. Using information on pathogens, people, and places, Dr. Carrel has focused on the emergence of new diseases and drug resistance. She is now studying how hurricanes and floods influence the risk of infectious disease.
