Joan Massague directs the Sloan-Kettering Institute. Over his three-decade career as a researcher, he has done pioneering work on cancer genetics, and cell division, and has received many honors, including the 2006 Vilcek Prize in Biomedical Research and the 2013 Italian American Cancer Foundation Prize. He is also an investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and a professor at the Weill-Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. Updated 2013
