Cognitive neuroscientist Jamshed Bharucha is the twelfth president of the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York. Prior to this, he served as provost and senior vice president at Tufts University and professor and dean at Dartmouth College. As a cognitive neuroscientist with a PhD from Harvard University, as well as a classically trained violinist, Bharucha focuses his research on studying the effects of music on the brain. Updated 2014
