Named by Sports Illustrated as one of the top 10 tennis players of all time, Ivan Lendl, who became a U.S. citizen in 1992, was one of the sport’s most dominant players in the 1980s, winning 10 Grand Slams and appearing in 19 Grand Slam single finals. After retiring in 1994, Lendl turned his interests to golf, winning four times on the Celebrity Players Tour. In 2004 he organized a charity competition to raise funds for his annual summer tennis camp for paraplegic players. Updated 2012
