Indra Nooyi, chair and CEO of the global food and beverage company PepsiCo, was born in Madras, India in 1955, and is the highest-ranking female executive of Indian descent. She launched the initiative Performance with Purpose, PepsiCo's commitment to sustained growth with a focus on people and the environment. In 2011 Forbes magazine named her the fourth most powerful woman in the world. She holds an M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management, in Calcutta, and an MA from Yale University, in public and private management. Updated 2012
