Voted by British journalists as the all-time greatest British newspaper editor, Harold Evans has led a highly distinguished career as editor-in-chief of The Sunday Times and The Times, among other major papers, and later president and publisher of Random House. He also traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and wrote about his experiences, most notably in his 1998 book, The American Century, which profiles hundreds of individuals, including immigrants, to explore America’s history and culture.
