Known as "The Sphinx," Fayez Sarofim is an investor who made his fortune investing in companies such as Philip Morris, Coca-Cola, and Procter and Gamble. He is an original shareholder for Kinder Morgan, an energy transportation firm, and managed the Dreyfus Appreciation Fund. In 1997, he was inducted into the Texas Business Hall of Fame. As a philanthropist, he has donated to hospitals, schools, and fine arts, and he sits on the board of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Updated 2012
