Chong-Moon Lee immigrated to the United States in 1970 and scored his first business success here with the technology firm, Diamond Multimedia Systems, which he founded in 1982 and which rose to become the country’s top producer of PC graphics accelerator products. Lee went on to found the high-tech venture capital firm AmBex Venture Group. In addition to his accomplishments as an entrepreneur, Lee practices philanthropy through the Chong-Moon Lee Foundation, which donated $15 million to the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco. He served as consulting professor at Stanford University's Asia Pacific Research Center and is currently chaired professor emeritus at Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology. Updated 2013
