Born in Thal, Austria in 1947, Arnold Schwarzenegger was a champion bodybuilder, the youngest person to win the Mr. Universe title before making his Hollywood debut in the 1969 film "Hercules in New York." Soon he became a global star, appearing in films such as "Conan the Barbarian," "Terminator," and "Kindergarten Cop." From 2003 to 2010, Schwarzenegger served as governor of California, championing renewable energy and political reform as well as rebuilding the state's infrastructure. Updated 2011
