“I love what I do. It’s not what I intended to do, but I’m glad I ended up here,” says Antoni Ribas, director at the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy. “I think we’re making progress, here and outside of UCLA. I think our combined efforts will make a difference.” In a recent New York Times profile, Riba is described as being at “the forefront of a revolution in treating cancer for the last 17 years.” He is a professor of medicine, surgery and molecular and medical pharmacology at the University of California Los Angeles. Ribas is an elected member of the American Society of Clinical Investigation, the recipient of the AACR Richard and Hinda Rosenthal Award and a National Cancer Institute (NCI) Outstanding Investigator Award.
