Ann Telnaes is a syndicated editorial cartoonist whose work appears in newspapers across the country. She is the second woman to earn a Pulitzer in this category and one of the few cartoonists to win without being affiliated with a particular newspaper. Her work related to the role of the Florida legislature and the Supreme Court in the outcome of the 2000 presidential election contributed to her Pulitzer win. A former animator at Disney, Telnaes now produces editorial animations for the Washington Post's website. Updated July 2015
