Stage and screen actor Alan Cumming began his career in theater and television productions in the United Kingdom, receiving the British Comedy Award and other honors. He made his U.S. debut with the 1995 film Circle of Friends and has since appeared in numerous Hollywood films and Broadway productions. He has also directed two films, Suffering Man's Charity and The Anniversary Party. In 1998, he won a Tony award for his role in a revival of Cabaret. Updated 2012
