Sohyun Kim is operations coordinator in the Strengthening U.S. Democracy program.
Prior to joining the Corporation, Kim worked as an executive assistant at BNY Mellon on the enterprise growth and security services team. At BNY Mellon, her responsibilities included providing project management support to the VP of strategic communications, organizing weekly marketing initiatives, and preparing budgets. She also drafted internal communications, talking points, and documents for executive meetings.
Previously, Kim was an executive assistant at Friedman, Kaplan Seiler & Adelman LLP, where she was responsible for coordinating charitable financial contributions and in-kind donations. She also assisted with launching and editing their website and with event planning. Earlier in her career, she held positions at various theater groups, working as a development director, engagement manager, and development associate.
Kim obtained a BA in English from Ithaca College and an MA in journalism from New York University.
