Michelle Napoli is the director of human resources responsible for all human resource functions at Carnegie Corporation of New York, including recruiting and onboarding of new staff, staff training and development, performance management, employee relations, benefits administration, staff wellness programs, human resource information systems administration, and compliance with employment laws and internal policies and procedures.
Prior to joining the Corporation, Napoli was the human resources/office manager for an investment advisory and financial services firm in New Jersey. In this role, she was responsible for all human resource functions as well as managing the day-to-day operations of the office facilities and supervising the administrative staff. Previously, she worked as an office administrator and human resources assistant at an employment law firm.
Napoli earned a master’s degree in human behavior and organizational psychology and bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kean University, and a certification in leadership coaching from Georgetown University’s Institute of Transformational Leadership program. She holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources designation from the Human Resources Certification Institute and the Senior Certified Professional designation from the Society for Human Resource Management.
Napoli is a member of the Central New Jersey chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management. She served a two-year term as cochair for Philanthropy New York’s Foundation Administrators Network and spent 10 years as an executive board member of the Enright Melanoma Foundation.
Napoli is an occasional guest speaker and panelist at Kean University and is a volunteer career coach for college students.
