Margaret Gach is a program assistant in the International Peace and Security program, reporting to Stephen J. Del Rosso and assisting him primarily with Asian security grantmaking.
Prior to joining the Corporation, Gach was a research associate in U.S. foreign policy at the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington, D.C., reporting directly to the senior vice president. Her work centered on the history of U.S. foreign policymaking and the intersection of domestic politics and foreign policy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in foreign service from Georgetown University, with a concentration in science, technology, and international affairs, and she also served as editor in chief of the Georgetown Voice, the student news magazine. A student of Mandarin since the 5th grade, Gach volunteered as an English tutor while studying at East China Normal University in Shanghai.
