Kenneth Benson is editorial manager in Carnegie Corporation of New York’s Communications department.
Before joining the Corporation in 2016, Benson spent almost 20 years working at the New York Public Library in various writing, research, and editorial roles. He obtained his BA in English from Oberlin College. The coauthor of two books, The Hand of the Poet: Poems and Papers in Manuscript (Rizzoli, 1997) and Jews in America: From New Amsterdam to the Yiddish Stage (D Giles Limited, 2012), he was the writer and researcher for 11 volumes of Doubleday’s Collector’s Edition of literary classics. For Carnegie Corporation of New York, Benson edited a newly annotated edition of Andrew Carnegie’s The Gospel of Wealth (2017).
